Hi, I have searched the web for hours, trying to find a answer to (what I think) is a simple question, I have a HP computer windows 8.1, I use internet explorer, I have a built in camera, that is awful, it's all foggy/ and I asked a question on here and done everything instructed to do, but it did not work, there are no settings for my built in camera like light/sharpness/clear, etc . when I Skype, my frieds cannot even see me, so I purchased a compact camera to clip on my computer I know anything is better than my built in(which is a shame, my laptop is only is only 4 yrs old. so here was question I've been asking
can I use this compact/clip on web cam, even though I have a built in camera? if so, do I have to disable my built in cam, before I can use it?
Thank You, as always all the great help I get on here is always appreciated

Hi, someone was helping me with a question I had/have about cams, I on windows 8.1, internet explorer, I purchase a compact digital cam to snap on my laptop n plug in, 1st) do I need to disable my built in webcam, before it will work???
the person that was helping me, never answered that question, and I never head back from him. I know he mentioned going into my device device manager(which I did) and right click on device manager(which I did) Then I got stuck, he said 'EXPAND IMAGING DEVICE' there was nothing that said those words, then I thought, hm maybe i'm suppose to expand it, well, I don't know how to expand it(if that's what he meant) an, I don't know what it means, I guess the easiest way for me to do this would be to know 1st of all, if I need to disable my built in webcam b-4 I plug in the compact one I purchased,my built in camera sucks, it is awful can't hardly see, it is all foggy, and I have no idea where the settings are, if there are settings, could someone please help me, I would really appreciate it,
thanks
